Any PS3 veterans before F2P left?

Played quite heavily during the beta/launch era, then would come and go periodically as frustration with the game & nostalgia for its charms came and went. Finally ended up deleting everything, a la the kon youtube, a couple of years ago maybe, because I just didn't see a future in it, just more of the same.

2050 has me very intrigued, I'll likely give it a pretty good go. Though I did spend on the game, it was in line what I typically put in to an "MMO type" title, so I won't have an issue with supporting it again if Trion makes a legit effort with it.

Length of time away dilutes the salt too. Grass isn't always greener - see Destiny, among others, for example. Defiance really does have a certain special something to it, I really hope Trion does a better job with it going forwards.

Am not very impressed with this "new game" that turns out will be the old game with content not included.

Will give D50 a whirl. Probably won't spend anything on it. Can't see the time investment to equal what I did with D13. Too many titles dropping this year that have me a bit more intrigued.

^ Agree with pretty much everything Reb said. Been around since the beta, my play time has dropped to a few hours a month. Spent way too much money on this game over the years. Will give the reboot a shot but I can't see myself spending any money on this as now the ps5 is on the horizon and a few huge games that will likely pull me away from the PS4 port

I took a break shortly after buying, then came back when my brother got interested in it back in 2014. Played it for awhile until my last break from it. Came back after a year because I heard about Defiance 2050 and Valor system from my wife. Will give it a try and I'm really excited, I won a beta key from one of the livestreams so you'll definitely see me on April 20th-22nd.

EDIT: just like many others, I most likey won't be spending money either. I spent quite a bit on Defiance '13 but I still be putting lots of time on the new one if I enjoy it. Honestly I don't mind leveling out the playing field so there isn't tons of OP chatacters out there, I'm also hoping PvP will be a little more fun since I was never any good on the D13 pvp.
