Well aint that a kick to the nuts.

So I've been obsessed with this game since I bought it. I'm trying to do everything I possibly can I finished the pursuit to get the armour in the first area I got it IM happy looks bad *** then I reached ego 500 and got the exact same armour just in a different color....The **** is this. Am I over reacting when I say I feel like I just got cheated?

What pursuit are we talking about?

If its just a generic, do stuff in this region, then yes, I think you're overreacting.

I don't think you've ever been kicked in the nuts.

Short answer: yes. Yes, you are.

Long answer: It's a common mental trap in MMOs, achievement fixation always leads to some kind of sharp dopamine crash and it usually comes out like this. I think it's part of why so many MMO players are so -angry- all the time. Anyways, it's understandable that you should feel let down or disappointed, but you should still be proud of what you accomplished.

Like... the first Dodge Challenger roller I got was the black one from the Racing Pro challenge. That took a fair amount of work for me, I'm not very good at racing normally. I spent hours practicing, learning the time trial courses, and so on. I did all this because I was sick of the ATVs and I thought it was the only way I could get a roller. I later learned that there are vendors sprinkled around that sell them in other colors. At prices I could have easily afforded, being the stockpiling miser I am.

But, you know what? Not only do I like the color of the black Challenger the most, I take pride in the fact that I worked for it. Not actual WORK work, obviously, but still. I saw something I wanted, I disciplined myself a bit to get it, and now I like it more because of the effort that went into it. And I remember how ecstatic I was when I first got it. So, on a strictly personal level, that Challenger has a lot more value to me than the one I just bought.

If you are disapointed by that, you'll prob even react worse to the legendary ark hunter reward then me...

You would've thought they gave you a actual cool unique armor for such a pursuit, but nope, just another starter set... atleast the title was good though.. still people don't notice titles they notice armor

I like titles alot I think they give a zing I just feel like if I wanted different color armour I would of asked for a dye trader rather than wasted three hours to get it -.-

Maybe they implemented a different coloured suit because it clashed with their character's colour scheme, because it's very important to get the right colours going on.
Also once you get to 1k EGO level and unlocked more outfits, you'll have plenty to choose from. Because this is an important and pressing issue.

Character customization is always an important thing I look at in regard to MMO's and I think that most players of the genre would agree with me. I don't see why TRION wouldn't implement more customization in the future, especially if the show picks up. They had a decent amount of it in Rift.
