We have unveiled the first details around our Defiance Season Pass. Players who want to save cash on the first 5 DLC packs rolling out after launch can now pre-purchase the Defiance Season Pass for $39.99USD. Gamers will get a massive amount of content including a new playable alien species, new weapons and vehicles, missions, and rewards, plus two bonus items, an exclusive digital Hellbug combat cap and a Lock Box.



The Defiance Season Pass can be purchased for $39.99 (PlayStation®Network) / 3200 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) / $39.99 (PC). Once purchased, the content packs will be automatically available as they go live.

I have purchased the season pass thru gamestop. What they actually gave us was 3200 mic points. So when will i be able to purchase the season pass. I have looked in the in game store and on xbox 360 marketplace and found nothing.

I want to know what the playable race is, since that will largely determine whether or not I'm interested in buying this.

In all honesty, failing to release with all the races really stinks, because I'm just not really hot on having to redo absolutely everything just to get the look I want.

Yea WTF a game where there is little to no reason at all to roll another char.. why would you want to grind out all the pursuits and wep skills on a new char?

ok....same question, different thread. I already bought my season pass via xbox, downloaded it (successfully), got no lockbox, or hat. YET, when I entered my codes for pre order & collectors upgrade, I got my perks via the in game store. SO, I guess what I'm asking is...... when will I get my stuff from season pass that I bought around APRIL 6??????

you redeem the code, and then purchase the season pass.............. I did same. I work at gamestop Lets just hope they got the freebies fixed. havent gotten mine yet

Was going to say some angry things till I saw this "I think our relationship could use some Boosts". Someone cares about the players so what I am about to post will be more peaceful than angry.



I saw that a few new outfits were put out for purchase. First off let me say all the positive things about these outfits. They look very nice very cool. Heck some of the outfits that were out at launch looked nice as well like the SPD Heavy Trooper.



The negatives. Overpriced. Unoriginal. It would seem some of these costumes like the 880 point (10+ dollars) SPD heavy Trooper already exist in the game, just with a different color (EMC Heavy Trooper). Can be earned by performing certain deeds. Does that sound appealing to anyone out there? Spend over 10 dollars for a costume that already exists in the game, gives NO attributes, has NO special effects like say flashing lights or the ability to change the color of pattern of the costume?



All the headgear is overpriced too. Over 5 dollars for the Renegade sunglasses. Really? Unless you have a really large tv the only time you will appreciate these items is during the cut scenes. Cut scenes may I remind you and everyone else who is playing this game that only show your character to YOU. Even in the co-op maps you notice the only character in the cut scenes is yours. Yes, its nice to look good for yourself, but its also fun to show off (and possibly make jealous) whatever look your going for to your friends and other players. The Hellbug Combat Cap pre-order, to me is just a black hat with some kind of yellow mark that I can't make heads or tails of even though im sitting 4 feet away from my 37 inch tv.




I already know what some of you will say "Well hey if you think its over priced then don't buy it, its all cosmetic anyway so no one is getting an edge that you are not"



This brings me to my most important part of the post. One costume Costs over 10 dollars. Hell ill be nice, a cheaper costume will cost around 3 dollars. The season pass will knock off 20 percent. 5 packs each costing 10 dollars. So that's 10 dollars off, like getting one DLC for free basically.




The DLC coming out will be available to everyone whether they paid or not. So I have to ask, what is my 40 dollars getting me, what constitutes a paid "pack". For the first "pack" am I just getting 2 500 bit costumes? Maybe just 4 different 250 bit headgear. Will players who didn't buy the DLC be able to get a similar looking version of this gear by just doing pursuits?




The new alien the buyers are getting, is it worth 10 dollars. All of you ask yourselves is a new race worth 10 dollars, a new character that offers no special characteristics other than it >>>>might<<<< look cool? Another character to level up that really will be the same as our first character only it will look different. Its not like I can't already have an Irathient and a human both with blur or cloak. Or both.



I haven't reached max ego level yet but I know one character can have different ego powers. If anyone here has reached max can they tell me if they have all 4 ego powers on their character with a decent selection of perks chosen for each power? I saw other posters curious about this issue and I think I remember one suggesting a way or some kind of feature that allows a player to just transfer all abilities and items to the other race. Sounds like a good idea to me. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't feel like re-doing pursuits I have already completed.




Vehicles were mentioned as part of the DLC. I remember during the beta seeing a vehicle that looked somewhat like a hummer. The Nomad. Is that one vehicle worth 10 dollars? Are there others I am not aware of that will be released? If so, will they be EXCLUSIVELY for season pass owners, or like the costumes, will there be other versions that can be earned just by doing pursuits?



When you say that we will get new weapons, what for you or Trion qualifies as new? Will there be new elements not already in the game? Will there be new classes of weapons like say melee weapons? I'd love if I could permanently have that fist weapon with the light orange honey-comb shield around it or those gigantic mini guns. Or is new just going to be all the same classes and elements, with just new physical appearances.

I saw someone post on somewhere that this company created rift and any time they made new content they made a lot of it. This thread that was created, that YOU created, why does it say "Gamers" and not "Season Pass Owners".



You don't have to tell me or anyone exactly what we are getting. Most other games I see on the xbox market place charge 20 dollars for their season passes. I do believe that I and everyone else who paid 40 dollars for the season pass should be getting 1. Lots more content than those other games could even think to offer 2. Content that is exclusive, unique, and original.


I don't think I'm asking for too much. A nice return for the money I paid. Anyone else feel that way? yes no maybe?

Was more concerned with having another in-game lockbox at launch Although I'm sure the hellbug hat is quite a panty dropper.

I too bought the ultimate edition, if youve redeemed the , ode on the manual in the game case already, then you already have a season pass, and should have already gotten the hellbug cap and lockbox. That part of it is available immediately....the rest you have wait for.(although im still waiting for my lockbox) got my cap

And if youve already been given your lockbox and hellbug cap, why would you think youd get another at dlcs launch?

I agree, if trion had made me aware that this dlc would be available to people in a free version with less content, I might not have paid for it yet till I knew what 40$ was going to get me, as im not at all interested in a new playable race. For 40$ the people who paid should be getting a buttload more content then the people who are going the free route...and it most certainly should NOT BE COSMETIC things like outfits and vehicle skins. Why didnt Trion tell us about this free vs payed aspect before? So they could sell as many season passes as possible? Which arent returnable since theyre a digital code. I feel a bit mislead. And its not complaining. They pushed them originally that you would need them to even get the dlc.

I dont want a new playable race, I dont need new outfits or cosmetics, so out with it trion, lay it on me! Tell me what ill get for 40 bucks as soon as you know k? Cos it would ease my mind

Not only that, but I was supposed to get a hellbug cap,and a lockbox with my season pass that were available immediately.......got my hellbug cap but never got my lockbox. Never got the lockbox for my collectors/ultimte edition digital content either(got everything ele though) so it be nice if tht got cleared up soon ....im lookin at you trion support. I have 2 tickets open already.

I will be fair though, the only reason I have a season pass is because I bought the ultimate edition and wanted that messenger bag and 1200 bits,lol. Which to me was worth the 40$ alone
