The reason this isn't a given in this case is that there have been no announced racial advantages/disadvantages. It seems a bit much to expect players to start new characters for a purely cosmetic difference.

also with the fact that you can get all ego on one character . having a new one is kinda useless. i think they should do this : you created your character . you can pay like 200bits for changing appearance/race at any time . when a new race is available . everyone get 1 free change up (if they want to change of course) how about it ?

A limited time free switch over to the new race would be another good way to do it. (like a month)

Not really the grinding sounds excruciating at later ratings so ill roll an alt when I get to that point.

Will all the ultimate PC editions have a season pass included, no matter retailer it is ordered from?

Reason I ask is that the UE listed on the Gamestop US site has "season pass included" but it is excluded in the description from it's Canadian branch E&B games and even Trions official pre-order page does not have season pass listed included in the box....

Xbox and Sony cards are readily available, no mention of PC.

Wow you are right, the Trion website lists the PC UE version to include the DLC season pass so i ran out last week to pre-purchase... i just checked the product details on EB's website and its not listed in the PC UE.... can someone from Trion get back to us Canadians on this? is it a miss type?

I've never been super crazy about the DLC to begin with (between the box, microtransactions, and DLC, it seems like one too many hands being thrust at your wallet), but I am curious as to the finer details of whats going to be included, as well as how the additional race will be handled (I'm assuming it's just going to be something you have to re-roll from square one). Problem I foresee with the new race is that, EVERYONE with that DLC is going to be using it and for the first few weeks they're going to be everywhere. Releasing some details of what is planned as part of the free updates would be interesting to see if it is at all comparable to the DLC, or if the microtransactions are more of less there "because why not" rather than to continue to support and iterate on the game.

so a game based on skill, you would want people to buy DLC to get a new Alien race that will give you an advantage?? I hope you see how dumb this question is... of course its cosmetic. If it did give you an advantage, wouldn't it be a Pay to Win situation? and i think something like that would turn people who doesnt buy it away.
