any idea when the bit store will be available to see the items / bonus / prices?
Looks like I will have to head back to Gamestop and change my preorder from CE to UE. Seems logical based on the value and number of dlc packs.
Has the value of 1200 bits been confirmed?
No, however this statement was made:
So we know the Season Pass is $40, that leaves $40 to play with. Now the tricky part is that the UE comes with 7 Day boosts, not 30, and 1200 bits. Which means that the 30 day boosts plus 1200 bits should fall into $40 somehow. I don't see how that is possible. What I can tell you, is that we intend for 1,200 bits + 30 day XP boost + 30 day Scrip boost + Season Pass together to be worth approximately $80. If during our balancing of the game it turns out that any of these elements are worth less than what we intend, we’ll increase quantity or substitute an item of greater value.
So I believe he meant that $80 for 30 day boosts (Deluxe Digital), or $80 for 1200 bits + Season Pass + 7 Days of boosts which would make more since. So $40 for Season pass leaves us $40 from this we have to pay for 2 x 7 Day boosts and 1200 bits.
I work that out to 100 bits = $1, postulating that 1 Day of boost is 200 bits ($2), would mean 2 x 7 days of boosts equals 2800 bits or $28, 1200 bits equals $12 dollars so the total value combined is $40. This kinda falls apart though looking at the Digital Deluxe version as that is only $100 but comes with $60 worth of boosts, plus the $60 for the game meaning a value of $120.
So that just the crazy speculation I've been doing to try to make since of the packages...
i wrote this earlier, around page 5 or 6:
for those wondering, if the season pass + 30 day boost on scrip and xp + 1200 bits is supposed to be equal to $80 as per the FAQs:
"Q: What is the value of 1,200 bits? What is the real world value of the 30 day exp & scrip booster? How much is the season pass worth?
A: As much as I’d love to give you clear answers on these, individual values of these are still being tweaked as we adjust the balance of the game. People who buy Ultimate and Collector’s Editions are very important and we make sure the value they receive from these editions is much greater than what’s in the actual box."
and the pass is $40, that means the 30 day xp boost is about $14, the scrip boost 30 day is about $14 and the 1200 bits are about $12 (i assume).
i mean those could be wrong pricing, but from seeing the pricing of other f2p mmos and such that have cash shops, thats usually a similar price, although i must admit that xp and cash boosts are usually about half that price around $7-10 rather than 14, but that cash shop currencies usually run at 100-200 per dollar, although items cost more depending on how much you get per dollar.
edit: which means the DD version is $60 for the game, $48 for the boosts and the other preorder items for $100, so you get a value of about 120 for 100.
as for the UE, you get the game =$60, season pass= $40, thats $100 worth right there, the bits are another approx. $12. the bag, figurine, physical copy of the game, a collectors box, stickers, postcards, artbook and an additional title for the game. figure you are getting about $180-$200 worth of items (depending on quality/cost) for $150 even though you are getting only 7 days of boosts.
so in the long run UE is better if you care for the physical items and for cost to value ratio.
Live as you want, life is only a moment in time, don't waste it.
