Have you tried to play it yet that way? Or are you just goign for overkill or another game, or are you just considering a what if situation? I didn't think defiance is that graphically demanding. (I'm not trying to get you to break any NDA, I'm just curious if you though you needed it, or just wanted it.)
Personally I've been waiting for the card prices to drop a bit, but a graphics upgrade is on my list too.

Because of my experience with season passes in other products, I'm a little leery of these types of offers because you never know what you're going to end up with. On one hand, the first five DLC released could be extremely desirable and completely worth the price. On the other hand, they could all be variations of a bunny costume, with all the cooler stuff coming at a later date after the promise of delivering five DLC has been fulfilled.
Now, I honestly don't expect the latter to happen here, but I do think it is reasonable to speculate that there's at least a chance of someone not having any interest in at least one of the first five DLC being released (which obviously, to that person, changes the perceived value of the season pass). And since the season pass grants you only the first five DLC (rather than five DLC of your choosing), its a bit of a blind gamble.
Understanding that.. is there any more information you can give us regarding the contents of the first five DLC that will be released? It's probably unlikely, but it can't hurt to ask. So far you've said "a new playable alien species, new weapons and vehicles, missions, and rewards", but are there any more specifics available?
A new computer how much I wish I could afford one.. lol. Oh well, I am grateful I have my faithful ol PS3... gotten me through some rough times... like when I bought rift and my computer died a few weeks later.

I bought the DLC pack directly at Trion.
Trion linked me to Allopass for billing purposes.
I paid, I received a code - according to Trions voucher page that code is invalid.
I mailed Allopass and asked for a working one, they told me it was fine and that I should contact the Trion support.
I have been wating for exactly 7 days now, yet no official response.
I'ld really like to know if somebody else if having the same issues - or even better: an official response.
Should this be bought directly from Trion if we bought it from Steam? (Steam version say NA, so can't buy it yet) Will it be passed along to the steam version that we've bought the season pass if we buy the pass from Trion?
Most likely it does not activate till release? Might want to wait for a mod to answer.
