Graphics That Bad?

So from reading the forums a little, I've read that some people say that the graphics are really not great at all. Is this true? I know it shouldn't matter but I have a computer that can handle pretty CPU intensive games and it'd be nice to put it to use.

graphics are fine where there are. its all about gameplay.

I don't particularly like the player facial model options but have no complaints about the graphical quality in the game (or that of the npcs) at all.

I like them. I like them even more being able to play on my old rig.

The graphics are decent at best. I use a third party program that lets me adjust contrast, sharpness, and such but I don't think I should have to resort to that. More custom graphics options, as there are none, would be a blessing. I have an awesome rig and I would like to use it to it's full potential. I still love the art style of the game, but Defiance doesn't even take advantage of PhysX.

To make the graphics even better, use SweetFX

The graphics aren't bad necessarily, but in 2013, we should have better options than what the game is currently offering. DX11 support, in-game Anti-Aliasing, HDR lighting, etc. These aren't bleeding edge new features. Trion could have done better with the graphics here.

But even saying that, the graphics are probably one of the better aspects of this game in my opinion. It's other things like the chat system that are severely lacking.
