So I may be an idiot in assuming the T4 Lockboxes have better loot in them, I am wondering if I just buy the T2 will I get the same loot? If so then why is the keycodes required so much higher for the T4

I would say just go with t3. I get the same loot from t3 and t4, but I get primarily greens from t2.

tier 3 and 4 are basically the same tier 4 just gives one more item, chances for rares should be the same, as far as I know.
