plot "hole" already evident in Defiance? SPOILER!!!!!

I betcha a thousand scrip we find out Nolan was responsible for the holocaust. Somehow he got ahold of a terra spire on the ground, thought it would be a good idea to fire it at the ships in orbit..... and as Ivanova would say *BIG BOOM*

It sure as hell wasn't an accident. I don't think Nolan was behind it though. We already know Cooper activated a terra-spire at the Battle of Defiance to end the fighting, I doubt they'd have another hidden reveal behind a character being that they secretly activated a terra-spire. I could be wrong though. I'm thinking more likely it was a Castithan.

Unsure if it was specifically Cooper who activated it. But he was most likely part of the decision to do so along with Torc, Nolan, and the rest of the Defiant Few. He says "Damnit Ara! I know he can do it. Because we did it..." (Not exact but close enough) inferring the 'group' set it off.

in game they said that a working terra spire had not been seen in over 10 years. However when one was finally found in the 14 minute preview the 2 leads didn't seem overly shocked and/or surprised. since a working terra spire could be used to reverse the effects of the terraforming holocaust they should have shown a LOT more excitement. in game it was a major event just piecing one together from bits from all over.

I thought only von bach knew how to use the terra spire to repair the earth and seeing how hes dead the knowledge died with him. I also would think Noal being one of the defiant few would only think the spire can destroy not repair and odds are von bach never told anyone besides the ark hunter and a chosen few about his plan. Then there is the question of if the spire was fully operational, maybe the only part worth taking was the orb and every thing else might of been slagged. I mean if a giant computer falls out of the sky I'd be lucky to get the processor out of it let alone a whole working system. I should note i watched the first 14 mins awhile ago and didn't pay much mind to it because i was doing home work.

Nolan was in the battle of defiance, therefore he was there when the terra spire terraformed earth, he survived. I doubt he's happy about seeing a new terraspire even if it would help them. (I didn't watch it yet) It's not a plot hole eitherway, it's bad acting at worst.

I actually managed to watch the full pilot episode and the tera spire had some sphere inside it which they said was worth 3 mill scrip and it held great power, in the end they just blew up the sphere to save the city from the attack

Along the lines of the topic though, the world was terraformed. So Saint Louis could be any direction from the old west coast. Hell the bay could be the new east coast of the old United States. Just look at the vastness that is the map. It looks more south east than anything.

As far as I know everyone can watch the 1st 14min. There are some copy paste streams available for Europeans too (since the official one is only for americans).
