Most of the so-called "game reviews" and "first impressions" don't do this game enough justice. These "journalists" play the game for two hours, finish the tutorial, and think they have it all figured out. This is the first review I read that was fair. It talks about the good and bad.

Not a fan of the review. His basic premise is that a lot of the detractors are mad about stuff Trion had no intention of doing anyway.
"It's not a bad game, it's just not the game you wanted" is a bad defense.

It's a good review, I think, in terms of explaining the game's strengths and weaknesses (and simple broken-ness in several areas).
I do think that many people's issues with the game stem from the stealth "RPG" in their minds when they see the word "MMO".
cant really blame people for the stigma put on mmo's all the ones that get praise have an rpg element to it. i hope this game destroys how people see mmo's

I knew this review was for me, this is exactly what is so special about the game, combat is SO satisfying, and after countless of hours I havnt even started losing intrest in the combat alone, its just brilliant, and I can imagine it will only get better with time.
Giving a 6 to a junk game makes the entire point of a 1 to 10 system pointless. A 6 is a pretty average game.
