I'd say one of the biggest things complained about is the fact that, when it boils down to it, Defiance is not what a number of people expected - so yes, it is a valid point. Just read around the forums a bit and you cant miss it.

As soon as I read

I knew this review was for me, this is exactly what is so special about the game, combat is SO satisfying, and after countless of hours I havnt even started losing intrest in the combat alone, its just brilliant, and I can imagine it will only get better with time.

Don't forget making a small jump with your ATV and catching a Raider in the head mid arc, or working on one of the street events and getting killed by the raider with the shield and coming back with your charger and running him over for the completion.

Giving a 6 to a junk game makes the entire point of a 1 to 10 system pointless. A 6 is a pretty average game.

Indeed, the "mount" system is also absolutely brilliant, infact I decided to start a new char yesterday after my main hit 1400, and i made the decission to not use the fast travel, and I am having a amazing time.

That sais alot about the "mount" system when it is so fun that you actually OPT out of using fast travel to get places.

I agree with OP: finally an honest review I can appreciate. I've been noticing a sort of "tunnel vision" with this game that I haven't really seen with any other mmo. I think this is mostly coming from us console gamers who have been waiting a long time for a descent mmo and we're willing to completely ignore the holes in this game and only sing its praises. Like a lot of people I can see this game improving and becoming a pretty solid mmo in the future, if given the chance.
