2050 Will Require More Loadout Slots

Sure, at the start of the game 6 loadouts to save your favorite weapons paired with the classes they work best in for your play style will be fine. Not everyone will like the starting classes.

However, from Destromathe's statements in several livestreams now, they plan on releasing a LOT of them, over time. Classes seem to be taking over the roll synergies played in Defiance, combined with the old perk system, stims and spikes. There are a LOT of possible combinations of perks, stims, ego powers (including the new ones they are creating) for these classes.

Then consider the various uses we have for loadouts. Loadouts for fun, for point farming at sieges, for mass destruction at event finals, for survival and accurate destruction in expeditions, and the burst dps classes you'll want for pvp... then all the variations of different nanos and bonus HP/shield/armoring protection that will work best in any of those situations.

6 was enough in Defiance if you only did PVE, or only PVP. Or you had to become proficient at swapping (then remembering, often too late, that you changed your loadout the day before).

The devs should start planning, now, on a UI that will include more loadout slots. With the class system they envision, will will need twice that, at least, a few months into 2050.

Think each class should have its own loadouts. In all actuality we'll never have enough for most ppl to be happy.

Considering at launch we'll have 4 classes, then every month they will roll out 1-3 new classes (consider Demolitionist the first month's new class)... by year's end there will be a LOT of classes to choose from.

Considering it from the other angle... What's the average number of loadout slots per player in D13... 4?

Six loadout slots will, once again, require near constant changing based on the content and guns you are playing during your missions... especially when expo's get relaunched, or if you are pvp'n one day to the next.

So for the first few months of 2050 a loadout slot cap of six is fine, but after that it's going to be more time spent micromanaging your loadouts every day.
