Sprite Issues when viewed at far range.

I have had issues with viewing characters at far distances (both npc's and players) The character sprite's movements are very choppy at a far distance... I have seen this in one other MMO (Warhammer: Age of Reckoning) and im not to sure if its the programming or not. maybe its just my view distance setting but i could not find a way to modify that setting in my video settings... anyways if anyone has any information on this problem that would be appreciated.

    -Thanks

Its a design tool that helps relieve stress on the GPU. What it basically does is tell the GPU to not render each frame of the sprites motion, which makes it look choppy but vastly decreases the stress on the GPU (and if i remember, also lowers the amount of data that has to be sent from client to server). Its basically a performance thing. The sprites animation should return to normal when you scope in on it or get closer though.
