I am just curious. How many people watch anime, whatever it is. And do you ever find yourself getting emotional?
I love anime because it has not been censored and white-washed for mass consumption. The characters have all thier flaws intact which I feel adds a better sense of an emotional connection to the characters. They seem more realistic. When a character has thier flaws, whether they are vulgar, violent, stupid, or just being a complete jerk. It makes the character seem more realistic. If a character is perfect, then there can be no connection because the mind knows that everyone has flaws that cant be censored.
And for this effect there have been many times where there has been an emotional/climactic moment in the show and I find myself opening up the floodgates. There could be a part where a character dies or is critically injured...or just bares thier raw soul...and I am not afraid to say it...I bawl Boo-Hoo-Hoo Pass the tissues!
What do you think? Do you agree? disagree? what do you watch? and do you allow yourself to get emotional?
