Only have a couple in game but it doesn't matter much since chat on the PC is non-existent for the most part. People just don't seem to bother to figure out what the mobs do or their weaknesses. It's starting to get annoying when your the only person shooting the defense arrays on Dekula(sp?)....

I'm trying to make "kill monarch under 2 minutes" and "kill Motherlode under 5 minutes" achievements. No luck from like 25 attempts.

Seems to me there is one common denominator in all of these runs.

Holy smokes.. Just wow.. I really hope this thread does not represent the mentality of most of the playerbase in this game. The OP called out for people to stop ruining co ops by intentionally gimping their damage output. And quickly the masses grabbed their pitchforks shouting they have the right to play their own way. Everyone else be damned. Why in the world would you even do such a thing!? Geesh. Been sitting here staring at the screen for a few minutes.. Trying to figure out what to say but really.. I lack the words to describe how shocked I am at the absurdity of the replies in this thread. Anyways. I'l be jumping in shortly hoping to meet people that does not intentionally ruin and sabotage their fellow group members adventures. That's all that I'm asking for when playing a game really..

The original post is massively flawed, that's why. I'm not calling him out on useless team-mates, happens to all of us. I'm calling him out on the fact that you can do plenty of damage with weapons that he explicitly listed as "low damage". 5.66 million damage in an Arkfall using only a pistol and a bolt action sniper rifle just disproves his point completely.

Also, the fact that he's failed to get it in around 25 runs means that it's possibly him who is not being a team player. People underestimate how essential reviving people is, as when you're a man down, that's 25% less firepower. Also, having someone run around with a BMG doing no damage at all, but charging people's shields and reviving downed members allows players to make more risky and ballsy plays without getting killed, leading to higher damage output as well. I got my co-op pursuits in pugs (and my loadout is a sniper + pistol all the time), but if I really was having trouble, I'd just form a clan group and power through it (which I haven't needed to do. I certainly wouldn't moan and ***** about it on the forums; it won't help you get your pursuits.

Anyway, I've said my point. I'm not one to force my views down other people's throats like some people here. I will play my way, and no amount of whining will change that. it's just more likely to make me handicap myself so I can improve my gameplay, and troll whiners at the same time.

I think the problem people have is that it's a public, matchmaking round in Co-Op with randoms. If you're going for pursuits, that have a time limit at that, join up with people who *KNOW* this and are trying to do the same or wanting to help out. Friends, clan mates, or even going to a player area (Iron Demon Ranch for instance) and asking if some people would want to join up for said pursuits.

I've been knocking out the non-time based pursuits for Co-Op today (got 3 outfits alone) but I've been leaving the time based ones I need for made groups, not random ones so that way a few of us that know what we need to do can go at it and not worry about someone not working towards that same goal.

I usually rotate between manual sniper, grenade lobber, & BMGs
...all of them what you would probably call low DPS weapons.

Pistols, snipers, and sawed offs arent dps weapons? Maybe youre just terrible at using them. I use pistols all the time because of their massive DPS potential if youre actually good at using them and landing crits.
