Pursuits = EGO = unlocking inventry slots, perk slots, loadout slots, etc.

I'd advise at least doing the ones which are in pursuits.

Personally I've done the side missions in the first 2 areas but not the rest yet. I'll work my way through them between other things.

I've done all the sidequests, a friend and i sat down with a few brews and nailed them all aswell as all the area pursuits apart from marin because dam defense is currently removed, all the co-op maps and all the time trial golds, aha my ego got a lovely boost.
