People are saying there is no higher chance for rates but tbh their full of shtako, TRION would not make it nearly 3x the amount for only one extra weapon, maybe it is bugged but I very much doubt it. Buy the tier 4 and post back to let us know
I believe lockboxes are borken because T4 produce "green" loot and I remember one of devs said they should provide at least "blue".
Anyway I got 2 orange items out of ~15 T4 boxes. Both just marginally better than purple.
Take note of the levels, I got 3 legendaries in one day from tier 4s and one the day before.
wow.. play a lot. Im jealous
T4 will get you a higher probability of getting a more rare item. I would stick to those.
But i had a friend get an Orange out of each. T2, T3 and T4.
Imo its best to go for the T4 because the lower T3 and T2 items will most likely become scrap.

Yup, the /only/ Orange and purples i have gotten are from the tier 4. That's probably just my luck anyway, but I was wondering the same myself, just have to say the proof, it does appear, is in the pudding.

Probably got some dodgy data entries but it's on the right tracks
I have opened 30+ t4s now and only got one legendary which was eaten by a roll back.
Basically, all I get from t4s is usually green items.
Suppose I am super duper unlucky eh?
Welp, no way in hell I am buying these with bits; they are a bonified rip off imo. Sadly, this is only place to get good shields and grenades though so they are pretty much a mandatory thing you have to grind for. Grumble.
