is there any thought into selling a hard copy of defiance 2050? like the original defiance had back when it wasn't free to play, those disks for ps3 really helped me cut down on the glitchyness.

I can only speak for the PS4 part cause I don´t know how it works on the Xbox1 but, all games are fully installed on the console hard drive, doesn´t matter if it´s a hard copy or a digital download.
After the game is installed on the hard drive the disc is only there for authentication reasons, nothing else.
absolutely i would buy a hard copy of this game, i have several of the original version. i have very little faith that the game is going to run smoothly. the largest part of any download comes off the disk so theres less chance of digital corruption, which i get from time to time with digital downloads. im not sure how the ps4 stores dada or the effectiveness of the disk after download. i play many games with out downloading them at all so id like to think it reads stuff occasionally, so any tiny chance to make defiance 1.5 run any better ill take.
ps4/x box 1 don't have f2p hard disk games i have never gone to a shop and walked out with a free game!.Lol. og defiance was not f2p at the start that's why you had your hard disc.I would have a game basic data stored on my computer then to use a disc as its more reliable.The issues you have experienced are down to pach notes,your internet,or is because the ps3 is an antique. The reason for digital is its more efficient then disc,same as disc is better then a chip reader we used for SAGAwith the magical blow to make it work lol
After all the years that I've owned a PS4... absolutely no issues like that.

Like I said in my previous post, everything is installed on the HDD, after that you only need the disc inside the console for authentication purpose.
Games don´t run through the physical copy.
And if a download is corrupted, it won't install. If it installs it means it´s not corrupted.
Like KevinVonBach said, if such corruption happens it´s residual.
The disk when purchased for £3 unused gives 35 inventry slots .2 charictor slots .30 day patron pass. 25 plus key codes. 1000 arkforge.and it updated defiance on xbox360 better than the downloaded version.not sure its needed on xbox 1but 360 needed hard copy to update for my console. game is still broken and there dressing it up not fixing it so it was fair question

Get a clear update of how new gen consoles works.
The disc you payed for lol.Why would a f2p game like defiance 2050 be the only one to have a hard disc.No gain from it at all other then a loss from production ,also the deal was for defiance 13 when it was not f2p.Don't think discs for f2p has ever happened.
