So i just installed Glyph and Defience, and im so confused

So i just installed Glyph and Defience, and im so confused is Defiance abandoned and it will be only defiance 2050? im first time player never touched this game ever before, now my main issue is everytime i try to play the game i get disconnected from server and server is not available and try again later, is there a server issue? is Defiance abandoned? and must play defiance 2050 now? i have no idea what so ever, hence im confused, let me know

here is what i get:

"The Defiance service is not available, Please try again later."
then the option try again, or quit game

P.S. im on trying to play the game on PC

Both are totally separate games (Defiance 2050 is a remaster of Defiance). You can install both and play both. If you are getting that message, it means server problems. Just keep trying. Or look around forums to see if servers are shut for updates/maintenance.

As a brand new player though it is not even worth having Defiance, and just install Defiance 2050 when released, which is a couple weeks away.

Also you can install through Steam too.
