How 'bout that nostalgia?

So my main takeaway from this beta is that we're seeing a lot of the same bugs we saw at the original launch of Defiance. What's up with that? Did you guys build off of the original release, add all the DLC content but leave out some of the bug fixes?

I remember some of this stuff taking months to get sorted out back in the day. Hopefully fixing it a second time is faster.

I often thought this. They say they built it from the ground up, but someone even found a D13 mod too in the beta (someone forgot to it take out). Which to me says they copy and pasted everything, added a few touches/changes and VOILA!

I don't know a lot about game development, but in my eyes, if it was built from ground up it would not have the same bugs, left over mods etc. All animations are the same too. If it was rebuilt the graphics should be a lot better too. But I don't know, like I say I don't know much about development so I could just be talking crap.
