No PVP servers?

That at least sounds pretty fun, it's a fair compromise if it's like that. I'll probably give it a shot then.

basically to break down shadow war.

Around the map areas will be flagged as a "shadow war zone".

this means you can continue doing your every day pve missions and can watch the players within it battle it out. but not have involvement.

if you wish to join in at any moment, its as simple as a couple of clicks and your in. its 128 players within the fight. so im sure there will be room and rarly have ques. its 1 team vs 1 team. and scales depending on the amount of players. ie if only 20 people are playing there will only be 1 point to capture. if all 128 theres more likly to be 7 or 8. the points again are random.

basically winning team gets the spoils. xp, cash what ever.

i should also point out in addition they have your bog standard pvp arena based combat.

and a couple of things up there sleeves for future content... which we dont know what it is yet. at all...

Thank you for the information. Not quite what I'm wanting, but willing to give it a shot. Not many choices I can choose from out of the current set of games, and Planetside 2 isn't on consoles. Good to see helpful members.

Hm... This is the first time that I'm seeing a rational PvPer making a point on this forum. Whilst I do not agree at all with the original post, it's a matter of opinion. We're literally polar opposites, I'll play (a lot of) Shadow War and Arena, but I despise being forced into PvPing whilst I'm PvEing as there will always be jerks who think it's fun to gank. I'd rather not have to look over my shoulder every few minutes whilst I'm playing.

It's a matter of chance, and I guess people like me just lucked out with the way Defiance is going to work. I hope you still enjoy the game, though, and I'm glad to finally see someone making rational points for PvP.

Tbh every post is kindly on topic because arguments like these usually lead to great pvp battles within the game because you adding another reason to kill that certain person within game.

I've already posted on the topic of this thread, but now I just think that people need to calm down. If you don't like somebody, just don't talk to them. If somebody is being unnecessarily rude to you, just ignore them. It's just the internet, it's not like anyone's personal honour is at stake here... -.-
