The more players that are around the tougher the enemies get. Just play with friends or random people and you'll get your challenge.

I should NOT be able to complete an arkfall on my own, if im the first to an arkfall I should be holding back and waiting for other players to turn up to help me. The amount of scrip lost due to loosing your life in the game is so minimal it doesn't even matter...

anyone else feel like this? I need more of a challenge with this game
Did u fight Nim Shandu yet?

Agreed, this game is far to easy even by MMO standards, the problem is there is no Risk Vs Reward and thats exactly what this game needs, dying means nothing but losing a few scrip, Arkfalls should be tough as hell and you should have to work for your rewards, ive not died once at an Arkfall in a week and must of done 50+ easy, these bosses should be hitting HARD, even when the game scales the difficulty its still not enough, it's just all so easy, and im not being arrogant this game requires no skill whatsoever, dont get me wrong i love the game, apart from Bishock infinite its the only game of late ive loved, i just wish it was a hell of a lot harder and death meant something, if anything scale death based on how much scrip you have i.e if you have 3k scrip a death costs you 1k, 30k scrip loses you 10k on death.

I think the game is plenty hard. Just not in the right kind of way. Many of the most dangerous enemies are just plain cheap. So when we die at their hands. We don't chalk it up to actual difficulty. We write it off for what it was another case of the game using cheap tactics to prolong the battle. I think everyone here has probably died dozens if not hundreds of times in the game. As far as this genre is concerned that is actually quite impressive. Bordering on the absurd.

This game swings to the extremes. Either you are fighting something that is easily dealt with, or you are fighting enemies that have you at a ridiculous disadvantage. In which case you just wail away at the enemy until it finally dies. If you never stand a chance to defeat something without dieing half a dozen times. It doesn't resonate as actually being difficult.

I for one wouldn't encourage the developers to make the game more difficult, because their attempts at real difficulty have most often amounted to enemies that were really cheap. That isn't to say they are in the wrong in what they have done. The core mechanics just don't lend themselves to real difficulty. This game just can't be a technically brilliant shooter given its design, and the genre that it occupies. Further more without a real skill set to call upon. They cannot create anything like a strategic scenario beyond positioning, and mashing buttons.

For this game to become more challenging. There needs to be more mechanics at play. Basically we have all of a single skill outside of shoot it in the head. That just isn't enough to make the combat complex enough for them to engineer real fair challenges.
