I don't think this is Trion fault as Sony seem to be on a bit of a self destructive path at the moment if you look at what is happening with Fallout 76 and Fortnite.
If they do put the Founders packs in the EU store on the 6th they need to make it completely clear you wont get the head start access

I know about the Fortnite cross-play fiasco (and I like how Nintendo and Microsoft are teasing Sony about it), but haven't heard about Fallout 76 x Sony. What's happening?

that's what I got from yesterdays "PS4 Packs will be available on July 6th" (source - sorry the stupid forum deleted the post TWICE when I tried to post Trion news url; it fails on some critical internal error. Will this work? Jeez Trion is banned from Defiance forum for life it seems.) Even when mail mentions "no headstart" later I don't see it as mutual exclusive right now.


It's not "the news I've found" It's the mail itself. (Having new account I checked D50 news. I can imagine old accounts don't go into "newsletter subscriptions" that often to check D50 news and are receiving D13 news only).

Anyway. You know how every promo mail has that "if your mail client does not show it right click here"? That's the link. You can even see it in the page itself (down there where "unsubscribe" is :P ) as it was in the mail I (and everyone else) got.

Elenoe, that link did work, thanks. It's too bad they couldn't put up anything then, July 2nd when it went out... regarding this news about PS4 EU not getting a head start. Hard to know if they knew it then, or not. I sure don't think Trion would put out even partial negative press in one of their adds, even if it's ultimately on Sony where the issue lies. Why PS4 NA but not EU? Bit nuts.

Fri's livestream can't get here soon enough. Any dev wants to chime in here? Are these assumptions accurate? Leaving this news until Friday's livestream certainly does no service to the tens of thousands of PS4 EU players hoping for some early access with their purchase. It's possible there may be a last minute turnaround, but given the information sent to tttoomm... and anyone else who reads these forums seen the same thing?... it seems doubtful.

Thanks for the news... Sony's stance on the issues cropping up covered by that article really is no surprise. The 'business is war' mentality of post war Japan will be a cultural mindset hard for some business leaders to move past, if ever. Yes, that mindset is entrenched world-wide, more so the larger the multi-national. It's just an easy fitting glove for Japanese culture too.
