Quick question: how these regions even work on PS4? On PC no matter where I buy or live I could choose the actual server or can create char on both. If you play D50 on PS from EU are you locked to EU servers? If yes that had me wonder what about the rest of world? Where do they play? And if not it seems even more probable that you can buy packs in both region, as all PS players could even headstart, but only on NA server. Which sucks for EU player I get it but it would not change anything on advertisements as you would still got a headstart with your pack, technically.

Elenoe, I know this isn't directly addressing what you are proposing above, however you are reminding me that multiple platform players should take the following into consideration, before they 'try stuff out' this weekend. My emphasis, not quoting you, Elenoe.

It's been stated by Zephkial on the livestream last Fri. 6-29... that for those that have multiple platforms linked to their Trion account, THE ONE THEY LOG ONTO FIRST, has the Valor Commendations from Defiance forwarded to it. Keep this in mind. Tell your friends. It's going to be automated... so think twice if you intend to try out your early access on some other platform than where you intend to do your Real progression.

I'm not even sure people CAN buy multiple Ultimate Founder's packs and apply them to different platforms. 'That's COMMITMENT to be sure, if anyone does.' Just remember your Valor Commendations, and get them where you want them, and avoid having Trion's CS make up for your choices.

Granted... a LOT of this could be far more up front, by Trion. So a lot of it's going to be on them if they get drubbed with CS tickets and irate players because Valor went to the wrong platform.

I myself have not recieved such an email..on xbone in the land down under... also the date of release is the 7th at 10:00am whitch corresponds to the head start that's being talked about... bought ultimate founders so yeah this is either a bad attempt at baiting or the wrong info has been dispersed...

im an aussie too and otixed the head start time stating 10am on the 6th however thats pst time so for me in melbourne uts 3am saturday the 7th

Must be tired, I'm having a hard time following that. I'll give you some examples instead.

Assume you played Defiance on just PC. You've 1500 Valor commendations coming to you from Ego Pursuit score and some coming to you from the $200 you spent over the years, say it ends up being 1550 Valor commendations. (just making merde up here) So if you then intend on playing 2050 on both PC and PS4 with different sets of friends... the platform you log onto first... whether it's PC or PS4, will be the one that gets all of your 1550 Valor commendations, and... possibly your Head Start Outfits, vehicle, class unlocks, etc...

Another scenario. If your highest character on Defiance PC was 1500 ego pursuit score, and the PS3 highest character you earned 2100 pursuit score... the first platform you sign onto will get the 2100 Valor commendations. The 1500 'extra' you earned from PC doesn't come into play.

Their decision is a little nutty for the few multiple platform players I've come across. Few I know are PC NA and PC EU. A few PS3 who gave up on it and migrated to PC. Hopefully we are all just misunderstanding Trion, and they give those few thousands who did this in Defiance the Valor they earned on BOTH platforms, so your PC valor would go to your PC 2050 character and the PS3 valor you earned went to your PS4 character. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

From this point on I'm digressing from your question, Jerrmy12... but I'm trying to rationalize Trion's decision to cap Valor earned from just your highest ego pursuit score... and a bit extra.

I've one account with 3 6k players, another account with another 6k. My first account is going to lose out on a lot of ego pursuit score... earned by their second and third 6k's... (not to mention the other 3 from 4k-5k, with much lower ego pursuit scores). I'm okay with Trion's decision to pick just one account, and my highest. It's not perfect. If they hadn't set the limit how they did... I would have jumped on my other alts and just focused on all their easy pursuits on all 6 characters... but then I'm not sure I'd need to buy a thing for a while with all the Valor Commedations I racked up taking advantage of their... largess.

At this point I'm not entirely sure there is a reason to have more than 1 character in 2050. There's no trading. I can't grind event weeklies using my 6 alts hoping to score a worthwhile OJ mod or two or JP each week from the DF or Tarr event weeklies. I'm sure I'll still use a 2nd account simply to make it easier to queue up co-ops now and then. Given we don't have Ark Forge and a 500 cap when not running patron, there's little benefit I see running multiple alts to cap out that 500 weekly AF. We'll see how 2050 evolves, whether there's any need to have Valor for more than 1 character.

All I know for sure is outfits you pick using valor, will be unlocked account wide for other alts you make on that account. I'd assume that holds true for vehicles too.

Anyway. You know how every promo mail has that "if your mail client does not show it right click here"? That's the link. You can even see it in the page itself (down there where "unsubscribe" is :P ) as it was in the mail I (and everyone else) got.

If this part is true then it seems like Trion intentionally was trying to hide it. I’ve made it pretty known that I do not trust Trion anymore and I’ve wrote many times how shady their practices have become. I was called a naysayer and many other names because of my stand. Now other players are starting to see Trions true colors. They’ve left OG Defiance to fend for itself (the servers aren’t playable) and now they’re doing this. They are misleading everyone about how different the game will be and that it’s not a port. Think about this, both games you have weapon leveling, both games you have mods including nano mods, they keep talking about classes but OG Defiance also has classes (no one gave any attention to them), the story is the same. All they’ve done was move around some stuff on the UI. I recall a member of the dev team once blaming large inventories for the stability in OG Defiance. Which is why they chose not to port player inventories. Also, all the gear was becoming too OP and eventually you run out of ideas. So starting people over frees up all of that. I played the beta. It’s the same game. Sorry for ranting. Remember, Vote with your wallet!

For those blaming Sony, they are absolutely part of the problem. However, equally Trion should know the PlayStation stores and their restrictions inside and out - it's literally their job and part of the service we buy into when we purchase their games.

I would really appreciate someone from Trion to clarify what we will and what we won't get as an EU PlayStation founder/player.

Thanks for the news... Sony's stance on the issues cropping up covered by that article really is no surprise. The 'business is war' mentality of post war Japan will be a cultural mindset hard for some business leaders to move past, if ever. Yes, that mindset is entrenched world-wide, more so the larger the multi-national. It's just an easy fitting glove for Japanese culture too.

Sure, Sony doesn't want cross-play right now because it wouldn´t favor them, and why would they want it?
They have the lead on consoles sales and player base, at the moment they don´t need that and at the same time they are protecting and nursing its clients.

People have a short memory and they use arguments as see fit to its own benefits, years ago during the time of Xbox360 and PS3 Sony suggested this same crossplay everybody is asking and guess what...MICROSOFT refused it.
Sony is just paying back the favor.

no, no, no, no, stop there In order to buy foundation pack you need to wait until Friday and then purchase it from EU store. It's just the head start part that seems to be void. That's how it looks now to me.

Really don´t know if it will be available Friday on EU store because the Founders Pack strictly implies a headstart, get it?
