you are out of ammo as the actual bug is you don't pickup ammo from dead enemies (and the other bug in this hotshot and chicken hotshot I don't see total ammo as the mag ammo is all over it).
As workaround pick Assault with Scavenger perk. It will still end randomly, don't know why, but you get daily bronze at least.
