I did "bullet for a madman" and never got the next story mission, I'm level 50 so unless it's time gated it bugged and hasn't given me the next quest. Also I should note I completed it at around 3pm MT

Make sure you do the side quests too, i had a couple main missions not showing until i did the side missions

Oh, this change is welcome. When I first played the story on OLDefiance, I missed some side missions, because I jumped to the next main mission, and the previous side missions would disappear after that. Problem is, some side missions were required to complete pursuits. I had to play the story all over again so I could complete them.
could've just been a bug and doing another quest made it pop or something but yea my first run through i didn't do any side missions lol then realized they were part of the pursuits once i wasn't a super noob & had to restart
