How does the Weapon level system work?

Me and several buddies who have been playing and started a clan honestly have no idea how the stat screen showing weapon level progression in game((found in character tab of ego options)) works out its points. We have all been playing early access, out several hours and grinding in, I've stuck mainly with the medics LMG and now Pistol for its high enhances Crit multiplyer. We had checked last night before bed to try and figure how why our Rollers and vehicle levels had jumped up with use, but our weapon bars seemed to not even move with the large amount of use we used them. I mean.. this is largely a shooter game.

Is the weapon leveling system not functioning as it should, or is this normal? Is the weapon grinding set to some insane high cap? I ask because I'm level 25, power level near 800, and I have not gotten a single level up for my weapons use, but rollers about 3 times. It makes me worry if this game even wants you to earns ndnwork long run without being un-obtainable goals. The highest level for some of the weapon challange has it set to weapon level 75 for the goals/pursuit challanges to reward drops. After three days for some of my buds, myself 2 days of gameplay and a growing ranking, none of us are even at level 1?

Trion/glyph, is the weapon leveling system set to some ungodly high grind level that will require constant hourly gameplay on a daily bases for a years worth to get a reward for a cosmetic and title, or is it capped high to promotor bit purchase of cosmetics?

Honestly, I'd rather have an obtainable goals list and levels that at least reward good daily gameplay.

It causes confusion and will be tempered a bit in the future.

Right now just use weapons. You are just a bit low for it registering the damage done.

I haven't noticed when exactly it started to raise but was around 25/maxed class. I've got my first weapon rank around EGO 40. Noticed the bar below weapon is filling around 35, but it was already 3/4. It progresses normally since then.

Very very slowly. I'm rank 6 with PR 2.1k. There are 50 level for each weapon.

I think it's based on damage done. As even weapons I only use occasionally keep their level relatively close.

Ok, seemed very slow. Reaching 50 before your character Ter really even ekarns a new thing Bout the main group of guns he's been shooting seems a bit off, lol. Sure glad to isn't as bad. XD most of the time..... .... XD

Seems it might need to be tweaked if not. Not saying it's bad but it feels underwhelming and almost out of reach to worry about even.

It slows down even more @ every 1000 power....You have not even started the grind.

The amount of so you earn is based off of your damage, I’ve leveled up my smg 3 times today alone at 2k powerscore so it gets so much easier the higher you get.

and the level cap is not 50 its 75.....once you get high level weapons doing 100.000+ damage per shot you can start to grind....good luck !
