Bio: Although born into the Pale wars, ____ and his family were never fully involved. They moved every year in order to try and keep themselves away from the fighting as much as possible. shortly after his 4th birthday, radical terraforming from a nearby Arkfall caused earthquakes that demolished their house, leaving only _____ and his sister, +++++. _______' only close friendship was to his older sister as the years went on, relying on each other and the kindness of strangers to get along. Soon enough they learned to steal to survive.
As they traveled further south, they had found An Irathient soldier crying over the corpse of his daughter, killed by bandits. Hungry, and desperate, they tried to steal his backpack, hoping that he'd be too distracted to notice.+++++ realized why the soldier was crying, the girl he held in his arms was no older than her. _________ tailed his sister as she went up to console the shattered man. The moment +++++ touched him however, he flew into a rage and quickly pinned her to the ground, knife at her throat. nearly broke down to tears as he thought he was going to watch his sister be killed. In a blind rage ______ flung himself at the soldier, for he'd rather spare his life over his sister.
The soldier easily flung him aside and cut his face deeply, making _______ clutch his face to keep the blood from pouring out. _______ soon made his way between the soldier and his sister, never letting his eye off of the man that threatened her. the soldier stopped for a moment, then looked at what else lay between them. He saw his daughter on the ground and wept. Realizing his mistake, he took the two in and raised them as his own.
He heard of a colony that was developing in st. Louis and decided to head there. Along the way he trained both ++++++ and ______ in self defense, and how to use a gun. He always stressed that life is a lesson, to learn, to understand that these changes will define the future of all our species. +++++ and _____ became very spiritual, and agreed to share a common mark, a tattoo that covered their backs to symbolize the many stages of existence and the never ending cycle of life.
When they arrived in St. Lois it wasn't long before both of them heard about Von Bach Industries looking to hire. They hoped that this would be opportunity for them to go and help others much like themselves were, and hope to be a driving force in helping humans and Votan work together. While both got accepted, they were split up. ______ was sent over the the San Francisco Bay area, while ++++++ was sent elsewhere. They both said goodbye to their adoptive father before they were enlisted.
______ believes he can wholly handle whatever lies in store for him. A calm demeanor with every decision he makes even under pressure. A strong sense of self and devotion drives him to wherever he's needed.

DEFIANCE Character Bio

Hair: Brown and styled however he sees fit, but usually outlandish

Height: 6ft 6in
Weight: 275 lbs
Birthplace: Ankeny, IA
Distinguishing features: Aviator Sunglasses and blood red face paint to match his eyes to cover up scars and one malignant eye.
Bio: Lynch was born and raised on an Iowa farm. He comes from a long line of military men and football stars. All the men in Lynch's family did stints in the military after which they went to major colleges on full ride football scholarships. Lynch was no different. He joined the Marines straight outta high school even though he had colleges lined up offering him scholarships. He just told them to wait four years and we would be back.
Lynch had stellar military career and rose through the Marine's ranks quicker than almost anyone. By the end of his four year stint he was a Sergeant and respected by all his peers and superior officers. Lynch had become one of the best grenadier, either throwing them or shooting them from a launcher, the Marines had ever seen. He was also great at using shotguns from all the years hunting in Iowa for pheasants and other upland birds as well as fowl.
Then tragedy struck, and Lynch was caught by shrapnel from the said of a building in the face when a mortar round hit right next to him. His face was peppered and he lost his left eye and has scars to this day as a reminder of it. He did not reenlist even though all of his superiors told him to and they could fix his eye in the next couple of years with the new technology that was coming out soon. Lynch decided against it and wanted to return to football but was worried about his sight loss and how coaches would react to his injury.
He was correct in his assumption that colleges wouldn't take him because of his new sightless left eye. Only one college gave him a shot and it was his father's alma mater USC. Before enrolling in school he was sought out by Von Bach Industries to be a test subject in a strange new EGO program. He accepted and was told his left eye wouldn't be healed but he would no longer need it anymore. He signed on and underwent the EGO injection and was instantly completely aware of his surroundings. He didn't know how Karl Von Bach had done it but he was a genius. He was even able to talk Karl into allowing him to go to college before his contract went active.
He excelled as a center even with only one eye but his Freshman year was cut short by the Pale Wars where Lynch was pressed into service again and fought through The Pale Wars and helped end the war at Defiance. After the battle of Defiance Lynch went back to the Bay Area to fulfill his contractual obligations to VBI.
Not much is known about Lynch's family other than the military backgrounds. All were stellar Marines and most died in battle. Lynch's father died in his arms at the battle of Defiance. A very sore spot for Lynch. The whereabouts of Lynch's mother are unknown and there are no record of any siblings. Lynch fell in with like minded individuals that call themselves Exodus after the great journey of the Bible and how it relates to them.
