This way some pursuits will be way too long: think about smashing 50 skitters with our (balsa) vehicles...
Kill one and the car explodes, wait for the vehicle cooldown, respawn it and repeate. I can understand the abuse "punishment" but now it's better to walk then to ride something that can blow up if something scratches its paint.

I agree with where this thread is going.

I get that vehicles should not be what you use to complete arkfalls and conflicts and why it ticks off other players. But running over the occasional enemy was a major factor in leveling skill in runners & rollers. It's even required in some pursuits. So now you have to blow yourself up 50 times to tick that box? Clearly they need a better solution that does not make vehicles into rhinos or baby seals.

This is so true it hurts!

what do you mean made out of balsa wood its more like tissue paper i ran over a CHICKEN during a time trial and the vehicle was blown up... i recorded it and posted in on xbox live if you wanna check it out my gt is the same as my username on here...

Doesn't it also depends on the level of the area and your character, so you could still just run down stuff in lower level areas, but higher level areas blow up your vehicle when it touches anything..

Phrost said (on DefianceData's Discord server) they are still working on "finding the right balance"

Vehicle damage and health was fixed (vehicles were not taking damage at all before), it might be a bit too much but we're working on finding the right balance
Hopefully in the next patch / hotfix, a vehicle's durability can be made as it was in Defiance 1.0 aka D13 (technically this should be D46, according to the lore).

As a side note: I think it would be cool if Phrost (and any other Dev Team members) posted replies / info on the forum too. The forum has been around a long time and I think it has been the first port of call for many players. And Discord messages are easy to miss ... especially when you have lots of players talking about a whole bunch of random stuff.

Having (important) information buried on some social media / tweet / facebook dodad ... is not the best approach IMHO. In an ideal world ... I think key information should all be centralized as much as possible. Otherwise ... it's like having to read 5 newspapers instead of 1.
