Jovenni, it's working. You simply need to reach 30 Ego before your damage starts being applied to the weapon skills. Be thankful, it was 50 ego in open beta. Someone made a beneficial adjustment. Yes, it doesn't appear to state that anywhere I'm aware of. I was 31 Ego and around 700-900 power when I hit my first rank 2.

There's been a lot of chatter about it in the last 5 days, no one's shared anything to contradict that. People try... but they fail to take into account their low power of their weapons just doesn't do enough damage to nudge it.

Also consider that with FIFTY weapon skill up ranks... visually that bar crawls very, very slowly. Yes, this is Not Defiance 2013.

I'm 26 EGO and have Assault Rifles rank 2, the bar started visibly moving as I began to do more damage with them at around 700+ power rating. So I think it's cumulative damage that drives the rank to increase, more damage = more rank ups (go for critical shots)!

there is no level requirement to level skills, you just need to be able to damage things enough.
