At first I thought, oh maybe I need to do that story quest first to unlock the ability to queue for it, but nope. Yeah, you can't choose as far as I can tell..
I know it sucks, I cannot open any more missions or side missions until I complete Explosions 101 which is impossible to complete right now.
Why not? I haven't completed any of the instance missions except for the first one, and I am already down in San Fran with too many sidequests to do.
Hello, Please bear with me since its long winded. If your trying to start Explosion 101 near San Quentin, 1st you must have progresses that far in story line and see the explosion 101 spike in the middle of the road. Then if so you will want to assemble your 4 players in a group.. After this hit the spike in the middle of the road to start. Then go into Matchmaking menu and hit start coop as you move from left to right across menu. This should start coop match. Open for corrections on descriptions.

Good question, there are no missions or side missions on my map except the one for the Explosions 101 map.
Thanks, looks like I have to group up first no matchmaking.
You need to abandon the quest until it can be done. I was on that quest as well then went to the map screen and abandoned it, it gave me back my story mission marker so i could progress. So, until matchmaking is fixed this is what you'll need to do.
