I am sitting around 2500 power right now, and I have to say I disagree with a lot of you on this. Aside from boss enemies (Bulwarks, tanks, etc) i drop enemies very quickly because I have weapons that are designed to do so. If you utilize the proper elements to do their jobs you can easily crush the opposition. You cant throw a rock at a brick wall and expect it to just crumble, right? That is what I feel a lot of you are trying to do is just trying to damage everything without taking into account the damage types available. They are there for a reason, use them.

The system is backwards. If you want to do the most damage, you need to keep your power rating as low as possible while trying to maximize the rolled stats / mods used.

What's wrong is that your power rating and the power rating of the weapon are completely meaningless. The only thing that matters on the weapons are the rolled stats and mods. You at 2500 power take the same number of bullets to kill a mob as a guy with 800 power rating if he had the same weapon, stats and mods appropriate for his level.

Even worse, you can artificially boost your own dps by simply removing your grenade and second weapon which lowers your power rating but with a weapon that has higher bonus stats. This is easy to show, make two identical loadouts then remove the grenade / off-weapon on the second. You can switch between the two and watch the mob instantly scale, but the second loadout will remove a larger percentage of his health bar per bullet even though you are using the exact same weapon in both cases.

The reason for the complaints is because this system is far from how a normal person would think it would work. A weapon with a higher power rating / listed damage is actually worse if rolled stats and mods are equal.

    ....
Not that I necessarily agree, but this is also basically how it was in the Oldfiance that mods and syns are what make you powerful because the enemies scale with your EGO/weapons.

How about y'all use the salvage and rank your weapons up? Salvage is there to be used to increase your power rating. Also equip plent of mods, we get enough of them no reason to horde them.

Reroll weapons to stats that are useful. Crit multlier for semi auto, or smgs. These can make the guns way more powerful.

If you are using a fully mastered purple gun with 1350 power and find a blue with 1270 the blue can be better if fully mastered and modded. The key is to increase your power early on and try to get 1700 asap to find blue drops.

    The power level is fine.

Yes, I am a guy, that uses a female character. She has been around since Diablo(1996), and I have no intentions of retiring her, just because some of you men are scared you will get virtual cooties.

Just curious what are the power levels of the people complaining? If you would wait until you are 2k plus power, you will see it gets easier. I'm over 2k power and I say leave it. Please don't start nerfing stuff already

No you are wrong about how it works. At first the mobs are higher power level than you, as your power level goes up you slowly catch up to them in power until finally you get a higher power rating than them. Plus the numbers on the weapons and gear at higher levels go up exponentially. It's like a curve, not a straight line.

I agree Bulwarks, Tankers, etc are way yoo tough, I liked it better when you had a ego scaling for your gun not a PL, When i started out on 360 i did so much more DMG Early game and became a super soldier w all my Sups but even that got tooken away from Inf crits never being able to log back in, i just wanted to come back n try the new Def since i can pla it, but everything feels empty n overwhelming. i hope trion makes 2050 bettte w future updates and content. but i can live w PL Once im at least 2000

It seriously only takes a couple minutes to notice that everything scales up to your power level, just go to the very start and notice that all those mobs that you originally killed with 1-100 PR are now all right around your own PR. Mobs have a minimum PR, but they will always scale up. You really want to see how meaningless PR is? Follow one of those new players around and be amazed at him crushing mobs that show as 10x his PR on your screen! As for what this thread is talking about, if that guy you've been following around has better stats for his level than you do, he'll even kill those mobs faster than you!

Attack wise yes, power level wise no. Even if the weapon is weaker you want to use the higher power level in arkfalls. I have a purple for missions, and a blue for arkfalls(blue is higher power level by almost 200 but my purple is way stronger).
