Prototype weapons lower than power rating

I have the E-Rep Retribution prototype, and I bought one from the replicator. My power level of equipped gear is 1515. I received an E-Rep with a power level of 1265. My weapons base power is 1406 and 1408, but I had them fully modded up to 1556 and 1558. 1479 respark and 1469 grenade. So I've wasted my credits for a weapon that fully modded, won't reach my power level.

This has been happening with weapon drops too.
It utterly bites in that there seems to be no way to currently, for me, to get ahead of my PR/PL without using a broken Spitter, if I could max it out. But I cannot as the salvage drops won't fill it.

Glad to see Trion is responding to the missing Twitch costumes, but nothing about weapon power levels, as I'm not the only one with this type of issue that has posted about it.

I mean technically speaking, you are wrong about it not reaching your power level. It will be exactly 1515 after you max it out. I am more then sure this is to prevent people from just buying prototypes and salvage and reaching max lvl with no work involved.

I’m having the same issue. I’m playing the game just like the devs said that we should be and getting higher drops seems impossible. I have been grinding out arkfalls and opening chests in co-ops and sometimes I gain nothing and other times it’s just +1-10PR. Then my friend who barely plays does two arkfalls with me gets two prototypes and goes up from 2700 something PR to 2900 something PR. I don’t know what to do. My drops aren’t helping me and I have been playing everyday since launch and I’m only 2800PR.

I’m trying to just stick with it but since I’m on Xbox it gets a little repetitive just running arkfalls. But I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Prototypes from the replicator will always be 250 below your possible power. They are OP weapons that will help you fight, not up power.

Weapons in general will always be lower then your possible power aswell. You must remember you cant compare a fully leveled weapon to an unleveled weapon.

Also remember ark keys give the best gear, which isnt always that great anyways. Im at 2999 and get regular drops at 27xx. I need ark chests and hope for purples for them to matter. I use to get grenades and shields higher then my power, I cant even get those anymore to push over 3000. My shields and grenades have been 29xx Even from chests. I cant get purple salvage til I push 3k. I think Im at a stand still.
