What is the deal with contracts being nothing but hotshots and rampages?

This system in place makes me not want to play the game....

I keep being reminded how tedious it is to get those ark keys because some challenges are stressful (particularly those Tarr driving challenges). Players now need keys so they have a chance to get good gear in Coops and advance their PR.

It's too bad because those higher tiered Coops are honestly fun!

No word from the devs I see. It's not that hard for Trion to see that no one likes the new contract system. All they have to do is see that barely anyone is doing any of the horid contracts. Please change this because the only contracts that are fun to do are for the 7th Legion contracts and that is because theirs is almost just like the contracts we got from them in the old Defiance.

Couldn't agree more with OP, for me challenges are not fun, they are something frustrating, something to do once and never touch again.
I play games for fun not for frustration, i have more than enough of that IRL.

Now they are trying to shove challenges down our throats as the main means by which to gain rep.
Speaking for myself i will not do these, that means no rep, no unlocking other classes and ultimately moving on from this game.

Maybe i'm just a cynic but it kinda makes me wonder if this is intended to frustrate players and "encourage" them to buy classes from the cash shop, wouldn't put it past Trion.

I agree - I'm not a big fan of the current contracts BUT I also definitely don't want them to just switch back to the old ones. I got so tired of doing those exact same conflict sites every day/week in oldefiance.

There are so many possibilities for different types of contracts that could be made by just using a little bit of creativity. Honestly, even something as simple as "kill 300 hellbugs" would be a perfectly fine daily contract. That way you could likely complete it through normal gameplay doing whatever else you felt like doing that day. And even if you don't passively complete it by doing other things, you still have plenty of options for finishing it like going to an arkfall, doing a co op, thorn liro arenas, ....or hotshots lol... etc.

I thought the stupidest part of these dailies were that they are solo activities until I looked at the Goals section and found out that one of the rewards for doing these dailies is EXP ... lol
