Racing in 2050 is an insult to the veterans

There are some design choices in 2050 that seem to have been made just to piss and annoy OLDefiance veterans.

I've been reading these forums for the past 5 years, with some intervals. But one thing remained true all of these years:

WE. HATE. RACING!!!

Defiance is a SHOOTER. We already hated having to do the racing trials in OLDefiance in order to do pursuits -- they were mandatory to go past 4000 EGO in the original game. Hell, I literally paid my son to do the racing pursuits for me. That's how much I hated them. BTW, he's a fan of racing games and he also HATED the time trials.

Then, in 2050, first we hear the steering is off and cars are indestructible. Then they made cars weaker than a skitterling. And now I hear DAILIES INCLUDE RACINGS?

Is this done on purpose, so we DREAD the game? NOTHING on this earth has the power to make me do time trials in 2050 again, which means Trion read the forums and either NEVER listened to how we despise racing in Defiance or they SEIZED this opportunity to make Ark Keys even more difficult to get.

Seriously, how can a developer pick one of the MOST LOATHED ASPECT of OLDefiance and turn it into a MAJOR activity on its next iteration? Worst, one that is tied to endgame content? I feel CLEARLY INSULTED by this decision. It's more than a slap in the face, it's EVIL.

Trion IS EVIL.

As I've just said before, yes, I paid him, and he hated every minute of it. That was years ago.

Now, I won a 2050 class Starter Pack for PC, and gave it to him. He enters the game and now sees TT's as DAILIES.

This game will destroy my familiy, I kid you not.

Feel the same way. You can watch the handlebars turn and the wheels are still straight. If I wanted to race in a shooter I'd go back to playing Destiny. At least their steering works. Shouldn't need restrictive steering physics/dynamics to make it that difficult.

Never handled that great in the first place. As for Trion being a low budget company, look at their list of games. I would expect these problems in one game, but on two consoles, thats even more insulting. Worst dynamics on any game I've played on any console, PC, or mobile app.

Lets not forget that Chargers are now GATED behind gold medalling almost every race in the game.

I miss being able to save 30k and just go buy a orange one from the crystal pond vendor.

Didn´t you watched the live stream last friday?
According to one of the devs there , vehicles are exactly the same as in old Defiance...this afirmation from that dev in particular and the fact that it looked like he was drinking beer at the same time tells me everything i need to now about this game.

No way. I use to plow through piles of skittlerings all the time in D13. I've done it many, many times. In D50 you will explode. I'll do a video demonstrating that.

I was very disappointed in that section. If time trials are going to continue to be in the contracts vehicle handling has to be looked at no matter what it is or was. Never got how racing was a thing in this game.
