Yes, every company that respects his customers does that.
What irritates me even more is that compensations, in games, are virtual items. Of course they have value, but there's almost no real WORK behind them. All the mechanics are already in place for already created items in-game. You just turn a switch on your software and give some of them to your customers.
OLDefiance and 2050 players are due to heavy compensations for Trion's shenanigans on both titles, in the last month. And compensation is still "being discussed". Hi-Rez does one event that fails and in the *same day* they already run to pacify their customers.

But then, Fortnite would be a PUBG crash grab, right? Yet, I feel they really enhanced the Battle Royale field. They made it easier, accessible and cool, I think. But that's only my opinion.
