fast travel does slow that vehicle progression a bit, lol. Personally i think skill progression is borked and doesnt register the same for everyone....
i never fast traveled until i maxxed my vehicle skills. and been running skill boost....whats truely amazing is being 20+ hours of playtime beyond 50 and none of my weapon skills are over 8..... even with boosts, yet my vehicle skills flew up constantly traveling from mission to mission.
I can see improving vehicle durability as you level the skill... but a sickly, depressed, limping and anemic hellbug shouldn't be wrecking a big-*** armored truck. They need to buff up the initial vehicle durability.
Just an idea but how about they buff the cars just during the time trial runs? I mean, a little better balance elsewhere would be nice, especially since some pursuits involve running over x number of enemies but making the vehicles strong enough to take out anything but a boss ONLY for the duration of the time trail seems like and obvious quick fix to me.

PRAISE TO THE SUN! errr wrong game, PRAISE TO THE MODS! or devs which ever, but i just did a time trial off of a daily and i hit THREE things on the road AND DIDN'T EXPLODE!!! i only had to do the time trial once! ONCE! still made bronze and still completed the daily! AH MAH GEEEEE!!! THANK YOU WHO EVER FIXED THIS!!!
Rather than buff of nerf the Roller and Runner stats, just have Time Trials be held in separate instance from the open world. This way enemies and events can't interfere, only the terrain as I'm assuming the original designers intended.

Vehicles in OG Defiance were fine - just need to copy over to here. If there is an issue with vehicles in an Arkfall, then you add code that despawns vehicles within the arkfall radius. Could that really be that hard? The game already senses when you are within an arkfall (you get a verbal cue from your ego device) so we know the trigger exists within the game. Just make it so when it gives you the verbal cue, your vehicle also despawns. It doesn't seem like that complex of an issue.
