You get in the animation to pick up the alpha weapon but it never ends. Only way to exit it is go to character screen. Sometimes really annoying when they are on floor and your running around trying to reload.

yea, i havent been able to finish the defiant few cuase we cant touch the experimental weapons at all, wich means have less contracts to run.
The devs said friday in the livestream that they are just going to remove all the alpha/MMB weapons from the arenas. Their philosophy seems to be 'if you cant fix it, nerf it'

They said a long time ago that they removed the Physical guns which is why you get stuck in the animation. It was reported over a month ago.
