Can't Make a Purchase from In-Game Store - Except Bits, of course

I was able to plunk down my money to buy Bits yesterday with no problem, but when I attempt to use those Bits to buy anything from the Defiance 2050 store nothing happens. Whether I use the shopping cart or attempt a quick buy all that happens it the "ka-ching" noise and on the shopping cart the "Checkout" button goes gray. Still shows my item in the cart. With a quick buy, just the noise. "Ka-Ching" for Trion?

I cannot purchase certain items from the store I WANT. They are said to be limitless and not limited purchases. You take out money but won't give us what is advertised.
