is defiance region lock? if your defiance r1 can u play with r2 player?

They will be implementing the option to choose US or EU servers. No clue when that will be and from my understanding, you will not be able to use your US character in EU or vise versa. If that is what you are asking

i mean like my friends have r2 and i have r1 defiance can i play with him? on ps3 anyway thx

No as of right now only people who are in the same region can play with each other on the ps3 for sure that's what I play on. If they make an option later I'm sure it's when you start the character so you might have to make another one when they do let you chose
