For reasons, ammo in my weapon displays over ammo reserve, and EGO icon is over the multiplier display. This makes hotshots unnecessary more difficult.

Meh, as long as you de-spec from Assault's ammo reserve perk for the hotshots you can't die in, the ammo doesn't really matter. When you run out, you run out.
