Ladder bugs

Each time i climb ladders the camera goes crazy and im teleported far away from the ladder and it makes me do the whole clear again and again and I can't progress in the main story I tried again and it teleported me to san francisco, so I got rekt by all the mobs becuse I'm in only 700pr I also discovered the fork area anyways its the quest for saving Nolan after he left with the gem. And its the main quest I'm having trouble progressing becuse of the ladder bugs, it really needs a fix o PS its not the quest of happens with every ladder in the game I thought it was a one or two time thing but after that quest situation, the bugg affects the whole game and progress.

This is very strange indeed. Only somewhat related, I highly recommend leveling your PR up another 1000-1300 points before venturing into San Fran. Also, are you playing as a female or male character? Female characters and ladders have a unique bug that allows the toon to fly up the ladder super fast. This was a bug in the original game that transfered in to the new game. It was abused a lot in some pvp instances and was never fixed. Your issue is most likely unrelated.

I saw this bug / glitch in the old game a few times and it was caused by lag (at least it sounds very similar). It seemed the lag affected my avatar's position to the point where the game kept trying to correct it and each correction made it worse.

It can be modelled as a system like this:


The position is incorrect, so the game tries to adjust it. And with each adjustment, it over-corrects it, leading to a bigger and bigger amplitude.

So what you see is your character starting to shake in bigger and bigger movements, faster and faster until your character flies off into space. At which point, if you fly off the map, the game will teleport you to the closest extraction point (the same way if you try to swim out to far).

The only workaround I know of is to reduce the 'lag' and to improve the performance of your connection / system. That means, at least on PC: stopping background processes that use network bandwidth and possibly other hardware resources like HDD access and CPU load. Closing all unnecessary applications ... that sort of thing.
