You know, maybe if they got come content to this game in stead of doing arkdalls all day long and a few contracts maybe people wouldn't need to cheat. The shield glitch is just plain out poor coding by trion. In all aspects it shouldn't even be consider a cheat. Now people who are hacking and changing the code that is a different story. Also if enemies didn't one shot you in this game maybe then people wouldn't need to so call cheat. The PR or PL whatever you want to call it is a total. Most games when there is a power leveling system at some point it gives you a slight advantage over enemies. That's not the case in this game wheater you power level is 100 or 5k it still takes to many bullets to kill things. Makes the game very boring. Plus with all the people leaving this game there will only be a handful of people around

I really don't get it. Using a shield glitch is 'cheatig', but using buggy/glitchy overpowered weapons isn't 'cheat'? For me the p2w boosts are legal 'cheat' too...

I have 3 or 4 screenshots per day of cheaters, I could make an album.
I have even seen people considered pro in Def'13 killing players with Gore + exploit and I was very sorry for them and for the game (you do not need to inspect the exploit is very evident).
Some do it out of curiosity, others out of revenge, others because it is the only way to kill, others do not accept that this PVP has changed and that sometimes it is lost.

IMO you can not punish someone who reports and look the other way knowing who is the cheater ... it's a rare way to impart justice.

Video or Live Stream proof is a lot more concrete for dealing with cheaters. Screenshots are to easily manipulated for them to be solid evidence. Going by what the Developers said, a proper report requires Video, specifically Youtube, console, region, and date. Time of the event can be helpful as well, make sure to include the timezone. When posting the report do it in a clear manner, and leave out any negative comments.

Basically keep the post in line with example 1 of the forum rules.

Bonesaw and Gore Augur are not. Shield glitch is as it requires the user to manually perform the glitch, as in it's not just something that happens without knowing how, and following the steps to abuse it.

And if all goes well, all three should be remedied in the upcoming patch.

the gore and bone saw require you to equip the weapons. so a player is willfully making the choice to use those weapons no?

That choice already comes with it's negatives. Using ether weapon does not give Pursuit updates, and Cores from Arkfall bosses. However the user does nothing for those weapons to be glitched, they simply are.

Unlike the shield glitch where you need to know how to perform the glitch, and manually take the steps needed to abuse it.

Your talking about the Terms of Use,
When engaging in Chat, you may not 1-8.

Reporting Cheaters is not aggressive pressure or intimidation. Therefor it can not be Harassment.
This is also the forums, and not in game chat. If someone is harassing you in game, record it, upload it to youtube, and file a report to support or on the forums. Just make sure to do so in a manor that is constructive.

There's no need to spam multiple posts. As described above there is a clear difference between the Weapons being glitched, and abusing the shield glitch.
