1rst person or 3rd person

I hate first person games, i extremely prefer third person view.

It'd be nice if first person was a option though so people who wanted to use that could while people who like third person view stayed on third

To be honest I usually disliked both first person and third person shooters..... Until that is I gave it a try. MW3 was the first time I played a FPS again in a long time and to be honest I really enjoyed it. And when it comes to games that give the option between FP and TP I would normally only choose FP. But I'm not going to let that put me off. It's an aspect of the game and my true enjoyment will come from what the game actually offers me. The current live steams have shown me that its quite easy (maybe) and going to be fun

I don't mind either, however if am watching my character his animations etc better be top notch or am gonna get put off really fast, watched a few gameplay videos and so far Defiance is looking decent, could do with a cleanup animation wise but am sure they know this already and are working on it!

as a warhammer 40k: space marine fan defiance is a no brainer for me.

shame the pc player base for spacemarine is really low and mostly full of sucky players u normally find on black ops 2.

i like third person shooters when done right.

I wish is was both FPS and TPS because personally I love FPS and hate TPS mainly because it just don't feel realistic. That and when the Oculus rift comes to PC in a few months they won't be able to use it in this game because its not first person. And for people who say "who cares about realism just go outside" and similar things well because I can't kill people in real life (jail and all) and I can't fight space battles or on distant worlds, and reasons like that. So please stop saying that because it's kinda pointless some people love realism like Arma 3 I love that game because its the closets thing you can get to a real war without the whole "dyeing for your country" garbage.

What ? TP view more immersive than FP view ? I'm sorry but i can't agree on that.

Well i love FP view because firing your weapon is more satisfying than in TP view and this impression matters a lot in shooters, simply because shooting is the primary reason you'll play in most cases so it better feel good. I also like watching my char reloading the weapon with his own hands after a nice headshot with a sniper rifle.

In the end, i'd like if Defiance would offer FP view as an alternative for those who prefer to play that way, just like in Firefall. Today's MMO are all about giving the choice to the player (for the worst and for the better) or am i wrong ?
