Group/co-op glitch

It's becoming rather infuriating trying to do co-op maps (360), the issue is the one that removes you from a group when you enter co-op (even if its a group with friends). You can't accept group invite or it removes you (has a warning) or it just removes you. Now this wouldn't be so bad, but if you get split from your group and lumped in with randoms and you decide to leave as you want to do the instance with your friends. Now when you do get in your friend group and go back in instance you go happily along your away, then usually about 3/4 of the way through you get the completed screen come up, from the ****ing group you left to group with friends . You get no loot/reward as you have done nothing and as soon as you click close window it removes you from the instance you are in. So you basically lose your rewards from there as well!

Is this a common issue? I hope they fix it as logging out before trying to restart group doesn't work either.
