Instead of a thread about game features or pre-order stuff, I prefer making fun threads. A recent interview gave us the name of the 7th and final Votan race, a name we have heard pop up before, the Volge. A race of automatons who you may have seen in the many Defiance tv trailers.

So we have: Castithans, Irathients, Indogene, Sensoth, Liberata, Gulanee and Volge!

I know we are starting off with humans and Irathients but is there any chance we may have one or two more races at the beginning, or is it already determined to be those two races at launch?

What if the 8 th race was this highly evolved race that had gone so far ahead on the sentience scale that they could no longer communicate properly with any other race not as evolved as them. This resulted in them taking a sort of observing/god role to the other species and how the other races learned of the impeding threat of the supernova. Then when the time came, due to communication being difficult, the other races could not deduce why the 8th race did not want to leave and instead boarded their Arks to leave. The reason they do not want to mention the 8th race to the humans is due to their sacred role in Votan culture.
