Yep. The Ultimate Edition comes with a 1 year subscription to any DLC that comes out. This will be new player races, world expansions, missions, abilities, etc, that get added to the game down the road as DLC packs.

Even if you didn't have the Ultimate Edition coming, didn't by a season pass for the DLC, or don't purchase the DLC packs when they come out, you still can play the game for as long as you want and have access to everything you had access to when you first purchased the game.... just not the new downloadable content that comes out later.

Just want to add you can still play the dlc even if you didnt buy it just want get the reward for it. They said it in one of the live stream last week. I dont remember which one but remember they saying it that they didnt want to split you and your friends up

Basically DLC will have a lot of other things included and possibly the rewards from the missions you will not be able to recieve either.

They may do it like Gearbox did in Borderlands2, where any loot from the DLC is obtainable but inequipable

My concern is what are the cost of the DLC packs when they do come out and how often are the DLC packs coming, asking cause I would like to see what the price difference is going to be, and if say they plan on coming out with DLC pack like every 2 weeks for a price of 9.99 well then that 20 bucks a month there, so we might as well be or rather I would rather just pay a subscription fee monthly instead. What I'm trying to point out is this is an MMO and I get their trying a free to play module, but if they are planning on coming out with DLC even every month and lets says they come out with 2 or 3 DLC packs a month for 9.99 a month. Then yes I would much rather pay a subscription fee, because to me that just absurd. I mean take other MMO's for instance that launch a game add content through the year of course you paying for with subscription fee, and the 7 month or a year later they release and expansion pack for the game for 40 bucks that adds the same amount of content for their game that this games going to add as DLC packs once a month or maybe even after every T.V. show that the content they plan on putting in the game comes from the show. Just need some answers or what everyone else thinks of this concept as to It's hindering my decision to pre-order the game atm , well the Deluxe edition that is.

I was thinking the same thing... I started reading and then my ADD kicked in... and I phased out.

@Rabuf so little is known that it is hard to know... I am thinking I will pick up ultimate edition on release day, but I may just pick up a regular copy and buy the season pass later on depending on the content in the dlc.
