Has there been another MMO Shooter that ran it's story line and progression off a show on TV? I can't think of one. I want you to go in depth. I'm listening.

There is a trend lately of console port to PCs where they do minimal work making the UI more functional (skyrim, tomb raider, etc). As is it'd be faster to navigate the UI on a PC with a controller than the mouse - and that's backwards.

That said, it's not hard to adapt to but it's definitely not 'elegant' nor is it optimized for PC users.

Trion is doing a fantastic job.

@3rdpig I'm curious if that's actually true (not being a smartass). What are your sources?
I can tell you're young, you can't afford to buy much so you defend everything as much as possible.

    You're actually not helping.

So we can't complain about faults (of which there are many)? You ****ing moron.

    100% wrong.

Console market is shrinking, PC market is growing.

There is no 1 game on consoles that can even compare to LoL, SC2, Dota 2 or even WOT

So keep being ignorant and buying consoles like a sheep.

What's the shortcut to salvage without clicking or hitting the keyboard 80 times? How about a shortcut to salvage more than one item at a time?

Making excuses fir a dev because they can't make a user friendly UI is pathetic.

I like the game, but the UI sucks.

My personal peve is the fact that i need to double click on the salvage menu.. i mean why would you even implement this its just not needed :/

yes you can press enter but it should be fluent,

Sorry this game isn't the exact same as the last game you played. If you want the exact last game you played, go play that. It takes seconds to exit the game once you know what you are doing. It is not the dev's fault you can't figure out an astoundingly simple UI system
People like you are why games like this die. Rather then having a talk about things that can be fixed you sit there and say everything is fine.

    WRONG!

The MMO market is larger on PC. The console market tends to play a game for a month or 3 and move on.

Once again guys like this are what cause games to die.

When ever a player tries to think of ways to make a game better they chime in and say learn to play deal with it etc.

(see Tabula Rasa) fan boys killed that game too.

I'm pretty sure NCsoft killed that game.

Screaming, shouting and wetting the bed are not particularly helpful methods of providing feedback.

I like the interface. I got used to it within a day and it doesn't bother me at all.

I've used a wide variety of UIs in my time. The vast majority of them were worse than the UI in Defiance.

If you dislike the UI, say so. Use the feedback function ingame or on the forums.

But if one more person says ANYONE WHO LIKES THE UI IS A BAD WORD in this thread I will be disappointed. Same applies for those denigrating the people who dislike the UI.

And if you -really- want a PC only MMO. Play a PC only MMO. Defiance was designed to be multi-platform. It wasn't an accident or a late in the day port-over.

Try Anarchy Online. It may be dated, but it's still a great PC MMO.
