So I had a couple hundred kills after doing 8 hellbug arkfalls. Then I went and did a Scrapper arkfall, and afterwards my total arkfall kills dropped down to 70 kills. So instead of being at roughly 850/1000 kills needed for the acheivment, not I'm at 70... what gives?
This started to happen to me yesturday i checked it said i had 679 major arkfall kills the game crashed i logged back in i was down to 172 i played again for about 10min then my system locked up when i logged back on i was down to 79 and one last time today it did it and reset it to 55.....its going in reverse i dont get why and its very annoying im trying to get the pursuit and ya its impossible since this keeps resettingOriginally Posted by Speshalke

There is a bug going on between kill resets in both ArkFalls and PvP, every time you do either it resets your old kill count with the new one you get and as far as I've witnessed in both PvP and ArkFalls this has been happening since the 2nd day it was out, they are trying to fix this issue since and I think I saw somewhere in the major update they're suppose to have it's going to fix this problem.

I had 1300 yesterday I got disconnected and it went down to 600, I'm looking at it now and it's 193...

Only work around is to pick one type of major arkfall and stick with it... If you do hell bugs, don't do scrapper till you get the 2500 kills. As for PVP, I have yet to find a work around for observatory as it seems to reset each time you enter it as well as the 150 kill count in DM. Shadow war is also affected by the kills resetting and assists.
Ah well, hopefully it gets fixed soon, its annoying seeing one stat say total kills in MP 3xx and then total kills in team death match 40/150.. It's like ya.... I killed over 300 players but only scored 40 kills >.> nice.

I have been having this problem for a while now.
Problem 1. Kill Count completely resets or leaves less than 20 kills on your score
Problem 2. Kill count on major arkfall board is not added to score
Problem 3. Kill count decreases after participating in major arkfall
These are the things I have been trying:
1. Never go south of the bridge. The change in the phase seems to affect some people. It means you cannot complete some Contracts, but if you are focused on doing the achievement it seems a small price to pay.
2. Stick to the same type of arkfall. I have mainly been doing this, since scrapper ones don't tend to spawn north of the bridge much. However I just got Problem 2 and 3 despite this. 91 kills disappeared after doing a Hellion arkfall. I have been keeping track of my kill count after each arkfall and the scrapper ones north of the bridge don't seem to be causing me any problems.
3. I am paranoid enough about all the problems to worry that the longer I leave doing this, the more likely it is something will trigger a reset, so I have been focusing on getting this achievement done. Late at night usually works best, when you can get Red Crystal arkfalls within the major arkfall to yourself. If no one else is around, kill those skitterlings as much as you like. I always stop killing the skitterlings once others turn up, so you are not affecting other players negatively. Some people use their cars, but I found quick-linking BMG work great.
Back down to 1937 kills today after I took the whopping 91 disappearing kills from the count. I am going to try and finish it off tonight. Fingers crossed. This bug really does need to be fixed soon though.
