I remember when people used to think the original Division would be a good looter shooter (myself included)... but that certainly didn't seem to be the case.
Still need to see more from Division 2 before my interest is piqued.

I never played the original Division at launch and immediate post launch when there were darker days as one of friends calls them. I did read a lot about the issues that plagued the get then and most seem to have been addressed. I only started last week as I got it as part of my humble monthly bundle. After playing the beta this last weekend, I am happy to say I was impressed. 4 of us Brown Coats are picking up the game. As there is clan support we will be making one. 😀
